Originally made in July 2007, LnR is short for L and R. It's a pronunciation practice program for the Sony PSP aimed at Japanese speakers of English. The L and R sounds are quite difficult for Japanese people since the Japanese language does not have either sound. Many people mistakenly believe they have one of the sounds thus confusing the two, but the Japanese sound that typically gets replaced by L and R is actually a different sound that is often described as half L and half R.

Originally this software was made using Lua Player for PSP firmware 1.50. A long time has passed since then, and the PSP is now at version 6.61 and is unlikely to ever be upgraded again. That old software doesn't seem to work anymore, so I've been updating/porting it to a new LUA interpreter which will run on 6.61. There are still lots of bugs, but it will load and partially work on 6.61 now. However the sound still does nothing, so it is useless as is. I hope to get around to fixing all of these bugs and rerelease it all as a PSP program for 6.61, but for now, here's the as-is LUA code and a couple of screenshots from a PSP emulator. Maybe that alone will be useful to some people. The resources such as sound and video are not included below for the moment. Since it isn't working, there's no since in wasting bandwidth trying to distribute it all. If you look around on the net, you may be able to find the original release which will work on a v.1.50 PSP. That would also include all graphics, fonts, and sounds. After I get it all working on 6.61, I'll repackage the whole thing and provide a download link here.
